mathy-by-bols-small-treehouse-bed
Mathy by Bols Small Treehouse Bed (90 x 150cm)

The treehouse, sized for smaller rooms. This compact version of the Mathy by Bols Treehouse Bed is built for a 90 x 150cm junior mattress, with the same pitched roof, cut-out windows and deliberately uneven boards.

At 170cm high and 194cm long, it fits where a full-size treehouse won't.

It's handmade to order in Belgium by Mathy by Bols, designed by François Lamazerolles, with a solid pine frame, a birch plywood ladder and MDF panels made from PEFC-certified wood from sustainably managed forests. Every bed is finished by hand in water-based lacquer that meets EN 71-3, the European toy safety standard for paint. There are 26 colours to choose from, and a matching touch-up stick comes with the bed.

It's for children aged 6 and over. Because it's made for your order, allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. It can't be returned as a change of mind, but faults and damage are covered in full. The roof and side panels arrive already assembled, so you join large sections rather than building from flat components.

It takes a 90cm by 150cm junior mattress, no deeper than 12cm, so the guard rails stay at their full height. That isn't a standard UK size, so ask us if you need help finding one. The perforated base comes with the bed.

Key facts

Size: 194cm long x 129cm wide x 170cm high

Mattress: Junior (90 x 150cm), no deeper than 12cm, not included

Ages: For children aged 6 and over

Material and finish: Solid pine frame and feet, birch plywood ladder and MDF panels, finished by hand in water-based lacquer; made to order in Belgium

Colours: 26 colours; touch-up stick included

Bases: Perforated base included, for airflow under the mattress

Assembly: Self-assembly: the roof and side panels arrive already assembled

Delivery: Made to order, with free delivery in 3 to 4 weeks

Guarantee: 2-year manufacturer's guarantee

Room fit

It takes 194cm of wall and comes 129cm out from it, and it's 170cm high, so it suits rooms where a full-size treehouse would be too long or too tall.

Questions parents ask

What size mattress does it take?
A 90 x 150cm junior mattress, up to 12cm deep.
