tarn-shorty-daybed
Tarn Shorty Daybed

The Tarn Shorty Daybed is a compact, enclosed bed that works as a sofa by day. It takes a 70 x 160cm mattress, so it's shorter and narrower than a single, and its enclosed design gives a younger child a snug, secure place to sleep and a comfy corner to read or play in during the day.

It's built in solid pine, a strong, renewable timber, with a smooth lacquered finish in natural or white that suits a modern or a traditional room. At 166cm long and 65cm high it fits into an alcove or under a window, and it works just as well in a playroom or a small spare room.

You can add a safety rail on this page for extra security. It arrives flat-packed in a single box, or 2 with the safety rail. If you'd rather not build it yourself, add Professional Assembly on this page before checkout. The delivery team build it in the room you choose and take the packaging away, so the bed is ready to sleep in the day it arrives.

It takes one 70 x 160cm mattress. That isn't the standard UK shorty size, so check the mattress measures 70 x 160cm before you buy. The British Made High-Density Shorty Mattress shown above is made in exactly that size and is 12cm deep, the maximum depth for this bed.

Key facts

Size: 166cm long x 76cm deep x 65cm high

Mattress: One 70 x 160cm mattress (not the standard UK shorty), maximum 12cm deep

Safety rail: Optional, chosen on this page

Material and finish: Solid pine with a smooth lacquered finish

Colours: Natural or white

Bases: Slatted base

Bed weight: 17kg, or 19kg with the safety rail

Assembly: Arrives in 1 flat-packed box, or 2 with the safety rail (longest 161cm, heaviest 17kg), or add Professional Assembly on this page before checkout

Delivery: Free, in 4 to 14 working days.
