The Cambridge is the desk one. Where the Windsor gives you a sofa bed underneath and the Oxford a desk and a sofa, the Cambridge gives you a proper corner desk, a three-drawer chest and four open cubes, and nothing else. It's the bed for the child who's got homework every night and stuff everywhere, and doesn't need somewhere for a friend to sleep.
The desk turns the corner, so there's a long run for a laptop and books and a return for the printer or the mess, and it stands beside the bed rather than tucked under it. Which means two things: your child sits at it with the full ceiling above them rather than the underside of a bed, and the whole thing needs more floor than a normal high sleeper. It's 198cm along the wall and 147cm out from it. Measure for that.
The storage unit sits beside the desk: three drawers for clothes, four open cubes for books, boxes and the things that need to be seen to be found. The ladder builds on the left or the right and the desk and storage go with it, so the bed can be a mirror image of the photograph if the room wants it that way.
Solid Scandinavian pine for the frame and the slats, MDF for the drawer bases, shelf backs and panels, in white or charcoal grey. The headboard is a design you'll only find here. Made to meet BS EN 747, the British standard for raised beds, with full-length guard rails on the top, and it's for children aged six and over.
Takes a standard UK single mattress, 90 x 190cm, no deeper than 15cm. That figure is a safety measurement, not a suggestion: a deeper mattress raises the sleeping surface and leaves less rail above it. The MemoryDream 15 is the one we'd put on it.
It arrives flat-packed. If you'd rather not build it yourself, add Professional Assembly on this page before checkout. The delivery team build it in the room you choose and take the packaging away, so the bed is ready to sleep in the day it arrives.

Room fit
The Cambridge needs 198cm of wall and comes 147cm out from it, more than a normal high sleeper, because the corner desk stands beside the bed rather than under it. It's 176cm high overall, so measure your ceiling, especially if it slopes. Allow about 70cm between the top of the mattress and the ceiling for a younger child to sit up, and 80 to 90cm for a teenager.
Questions parents ask
Does the desk sit under the bed?
No. The corner desk stands beside the bed, so your child sits with the full ceiling above them. It does need more floor: 198cm along the wall and 147cm out from it.
Can the ladder go on either side?
Yes. The ladder builds on the left or the right, and the desk and storage go with it, so the bed can be a mirror image of the photograph. Decide which way before you build.
Which mattress does it need?
A standard UK single, 90cm by 190cm, no deeper than 15cm. The MemoryDream 15 is the one we'd put on it.
