Oxford Solid Pine High Sleeper with Desk & Sofa Bed

The Oxford High Sleeper puts three pieces of furniture into the space of one single bed: a raised sleeping platform, a built-in desk beneath it, and a sofa that pulls out into a second bed when friends stay over. Built in solid Scandinavian pine, in white or grey, it's designed for children from 6 right through to their teens, and it's backed by our 5-year guarantee for the years in between.

Under the bed there's 139cm of clear height, which is room for a proper desk and a chair with space to work. The desk gives homework, drawing and gaming a fixed home that keeps them off the floor. Next to it, the sofa bed folds out flat into a single bed for sleepovers and folds back into a seat in the morning, with a choice of sofa colours to suit the room.

The slanted ladder fits on the left or the right, so the bed can face whichever way the room needs. If you'd rather not build it yourself, add professional assembly at checkout. The delivery team build it in the room you choose and take the packaging away with them, so the bed is ready to sleep in the day it arrives.

The Oxford takes a standard UK single mattress, 90cm by 190cm, and its guard rail is designed around a mattress no deeper than 15cm. That figure is a safety measurement, not a suggestion. A deeper mattress raises the sleeping surface and leaves less rail above it. The three mattresses shown above are the right size and depth for this bed. The MemoryDream 15 is the one we'd put on it.
