Belgravia Bunk Bed with Wardrobe & Drawers

The Belgravia is a bunk bed with a wardrobe built into it. Two sleeping spaces, a two-door wardrobe with a hanging rail and shelves, two deep drawers under the bottom bunk and open shelving at the end, all in one frame. It's the bed for the child whose room never stays tidy, because there's finally somewhere for everything to go. It's also a big bed: 295cm long, so it needs a full wall, and 148cm high, so it suits rooms with sloping ceilings.

The wardrobe is a proper one, 114.5cm high, 88cm wide and 58cm deep, with a full-width rail and shelves behind the doors. That's school uniform and weekend clothes stored without a separate unit taking up floor. Beneath the bottom bunk, two pull-out drawers at 62cm by 60cm take bedding and bulkier things, and the open shelves at the end hold books and bedtime bits within reach of both bunks.

The wardrobe and ladder can go at either end to suit the room. Both bunks take a continental single mattress, 90cm by 200cm. That's 10cm longer than a UK single, and a UK single won't do: it leaves a gap at the foot of the bed. The top bunk's guard rail is designed around a mattress no deeper than 15cm, which is a safety measurement rather than a suggestion.
