A tent they can climb into on their own. The Montessori Tent Floor Bed sets Mathy's tent frame and removable ecru cloth over the Virginie floor bed, so little ones can get in and out by themselves.
The cloth can be let down for bedtime or rolled up for playtime.
It's handmade to order in Belgium by Mathy by Bols, designed by François Lamazerolles, with a solid pine floor bed and an MDF tent frame made from PEFC-certified wood, finished by hand in water-based lacquer that meets EN 71-3, the European toy safety standard for paint. There are 26 colours to choose from, and a matching touch-up stick comes with the bed.
It's suitable from age 3. Because it's made for your order, allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. It can't be returned as a change of mind, but faults and damage are covered in full. It comes ready for self-assembly.
It takes a UK single mattress (90cm by 190cm) or a continental single (90cm by 200cm), depending on the size you choose, on a roll-up slatted base. The mattress isn't included.

Room fit
It takes 208cm of wall (218cm for a 200cm mattress) and comes 110cm out from it. At 127cm high it suits most rooms, including under a sloping ceiling if you measure first.

How is it different from the Tent Bed?
It sits at floor level on the Virginie bed, so younger children can get in and out on their own. The Tent Bed sits on a standard-height bed.
Can the cloth be washed?
It's removable and dry clean only.
