Treehouse Bunk Bed with Platform and Slide

Some children have to be talked into bed. This one has to be talked out of it.

The Treehouse Bunk Bed is built around a proper cabin: a pitched roof over the upper bunk, cut-out windows to look through, and boards deliberately left uneven so it reads as a real treehouse rather than a moulded plastic imitation. A raised platform runs off the foot of the bed, and from it a high-sided slide down to the floor.

It is made to order in Belgium by Mathy by Bols, designed by François Lamazerolles, from solid pine with a birch plywood ladder and PEFC-certified E1 MDF panels. Every piece is finished by hand in one of 26 water-based lacquer colours, so the bed that arrives is specified for one bedroom and made for it.

Two children sleep, one climbs, one slides, and the space underneath becomes whatever they decide it is that week.

Features

The slide goes on whichever side your room allows. Left or right is chosen during installation, not fixed at the factory, so the bed works with the doorway and window you already have rather than against them.

Built in about an hour. The wall and roof panels arrive already assembled, so you are joining large sections rather than building from flat components. Mathy quote a maximum of one hour for installation.

Reversible roof and side panels. The configuration can be flipped to suit the room.

26 colours, chosen by your child. Water-based lacquers, hand-applied. A matching colour stick is included so screw ends and future knocks can be touched in.

Made in Belgium, not assembled from a container. Solid pine frame and feet, birch plywood ladder, PEFC-certified panels from sustainably managed forests. Offcuts are used to heat Mathy's own workshops.

Wide-step ladder and high-sided slide. Both sized for children rather than adapted from adult furniture.

Three sizes. Single, small double and double, so the lower bunk can take a sibling, a sleepover, or a parent reading at bedtime.

Made to order

Each bed is built and painted for your order, in your colour. Please allow 3-4 weeks from order to delivery. Because every bed is made to your specification, it cannot be returned as a change of mind. Faults and damage are of course covered in full, and we will always help you get it right before you commit. If you would like a colour sample first, ask us.
