A UK super king mattress is 180 x 200cm, or 6ft x 6ft6. It's the biggest standard UK size: 30cm wider than a king, which gives two adults 90cm each, the width of a single bed, with room to spare for a child who climbs in during the night.

Super king or king?
Both are 200cm long, so the only difference is 30cm of width. A king size mattress (150 x 200cm) suits most couples. A super king is worth it if either of you is a restless sleeper, if the children often end up in your bed, or if you simply like room to spread out.
How much room do I need for a super king?
Measure the room as well as the bed. A super king frame is usually a little wider than the mattress, and you'll want space to walk round both sides and open drawers and wardrobes. Measure the space with masking tape on the floor before you order a bed and mattress.
Can I push two single beds together to make a super king?
Only if they're European singles. Two UK singles make 180 x 190cm, 10cm shorter than a super king. Two European singles, at 90 x 200cm each, make exactly 180 x 200cm.
