A European single mattress is 90 x 200cm, sometimes called a continental single. It's exactly as wide as a UK single but 10cm longer, and it's the size many children's beds made in Europe are built around, from bunk beds to high sleepers.
Our European single mattresses
All are made in the UK and 15cm deep or less, so they suit raised beds whose maximum mattress depth is at least as deep as the mattress.
Will a UK single mattress fit a European single bed?
It will go in, but it leaves a 10cm gap at one end. On a bunk bed or high sleeper that gap matters, because it's a space where a child's arm or leg can slip down. Choose a 90 x 200cm mattress for a 90 x 200cm frame. It doesn't work the other way round either: a European single is too long for a UK single frame.
How do I know if my child's bed is a European size?
Check the mattress size on the bed's product page, or measure the inside of the frame. If it's 200cm long, it needs a European mattress. Beds made in Europe often are, but not always, so measure rather than guess.

European single mattresses: common questions
Is a continental single the same as a European single?
Yes. Both mean 90 x 200cm.
What sheets fit a European single?
Fitted sheets made for 90 x 200cm. A UK single fitted sheet is cut 10cm shorter and won't stay on properly.
Can two European singles make a super king?
Yes. Side by side they make 180 x 200cm, the size of a UK super king.
How deep should it be for a high sleeper?
No deeper than the maximum on the bed's product page. Our 15cm mattresses suit beds with a 15cm maximum.
