Small Single Mattresses

(7 products )

A small single mattress is 75 x 190cm, also called a 2ft6. It's the same length as a standard single but 15cm narrower, so it fits cabin beds, some high sleepers and children's beds in smaller bedrooms, where every centimetre of floor counts.

Our small single mattresses

Small single, single or shorty?

All three are different sizes, so match the mattress to the bed frame. A small single is 75 x 190cm, a single is 90 x 190cm and a shorty is 75 x 175cm. A small single and a shorty share the same width, but a shorty is 15cm shorter. The bed's product page tells you which it takes.

What happens if the mattress is the wrong size?

A mattress that's too small leaves a gap, and one that's too big won't lie flat. On a raised bed, a gap between mattress and frame is a place where a small arm or leg can get caught, so it's worth getting the size exactly right. Our kids' mattress size guide covers how to measure.

How deep should a small single mattress be?

On a raised bed, no deeper than the maximum shown on the bed's product page. Our 15cm mattresses suit beds with a 15cm maximum. The Pippa, Guardian and Florence are just over 15cm (15.2cm), so they suit beds with a 16cm maximum. See all our bunk bed mattresses.
