Fantastic bunk bed with trundle, my daughter absolutely loves it. It’s really sturdy and well made. Instructions for assembly were clear and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend
Beautiful amazing bunk bed I really love it and me and my children really love it.
Fantastic service from Millie & Jones at keeping us updated on the delivery. The bed is a new model. It's really robust and we're really happy with the quality - I would say it is definitely more of a grey colour than a cashmere/ beige which was difficult to know when ordering as a new item that had no reviews! I will add some pictures! Aside from the colour the bed is great though and happy we went with it as our girls (6 and 4) love the shelves for all their treasures and books. It is higher than some others we had looked at but gives the lower bunk a lot of room which is great and means an adult can still read stories underneath! I've ended up sleeping on the bottom bunk a couple of times and it feels really strong compared to their old beds!
Hi Annabelle, thank you so much for taking the time to write this, it's genuinely lovely to read.
You've raised a really fair point on the colour, and it's a helpful one. The Cashmere finish can read warmer or cooler depending on the light in a room, and as the first to order a new model, you didn't have anyone else's photos to go on.
That feedback is exactly why we've now updated the listing images with better lighting, so the next family gets a truer sense of the tone before they order. Thank you for the nudge on that, and for offering to add your own pictures, they'll be a real help to other parents.
It's wonderful to hear your girls are enjoying the shelves for all their treasures and books, and that the height gives you room to sit and read with them underneath, that's one of our favourite things about this design.
Thank you for choosing us, Annabelle, and enjoy all the bedtime stories to come.
Kindest regards,
Millie & Jones Family Team
We absolutely love this bed and the whole experience has been perfect. I had a few questions before I purchased the bed, I used the WhatsApp contact method and received a reply immediately (even out of hours). I purchased the bed and paid for the installation. The bed arrived exactly on time the week after and the bed was expertly put up quickly and all rubbish removed. The bed is sturdy and sleek with no sharp edges or risk of splinters. The beds are spacious and the mattresses are so comfy. My boys slept well from the first night. Wouldn’t change a single thing about the bed or the experience so far. Would definitely recommend

Will it fit the room?
Mattresses: Both bunks take a UK single, 90 x 190cm. The top bunk takes a mattress no deeper than 15cm; the bottom bunk isn't raised, so it can take a deeper mattress if you prefer. The trundle takes the trundle mattress offered with this bed. Not included.
Weight: Recommended maximum 90kg on each bunk.
Sleeping heights: With 15cm mattresses the top bunk's sleeping surface is 138cm from the floor, and there's 73cm between the bottom mattress and the underside of the top bunk. A deeper mattress on the bottom bunk reduces this by the extra depth.
Floor space: Allow around 100cm in front of the bed for the trundle to pull out fully, plus clear floor at the ladder.
Ceiling: If your ceiling slopes, measure where the bed will stand.
Building it: The ladder can go on either side.
How it arrives: Flat-packed in 4 boxes, 5 with the trundle. Longest box 207cm, heaviest 28kg.
Bed weight: 70kg, or 90kg with the trundle
Made in: Estonia

About the Burford
The Burford is a solid pine bunk bed with a shelf on each bed. That sounds small until bedtime, when both children have somewhere for a book, a lamp and a glass of water that isn't balanced on the guard rail. On its own it sleeps two in the footprint of a single bed. Add the pull-out trundle and it sleeps three, or use the same trundle as a deep hidden drawer for bedding and toys.
Each bunk has a full-length shelf, 14.5cm deep, with three cubby holes beneath it, so there's no bedside table to find room for and nothing on the floor. The bottom bunk sits 35cm from the floor with 88cm of headroom above the slats, which is enough for an adult to sit up and read a story. The top bunk sits at 123cm.
Built in solid Scandinavian pine in a Cashmere finish, a soft neutral between taupe and grey, with the structural parts in solid timber and MDF only on shelf backs and panels. The ladder fits on the left or the right. If you'd rather not build it yourself, add Professional Assembly on this page before checkout. The delivery team build it in the room you choose and take the packaging away, so the bed is ready to sleep in the day it arrives.
The mattresses shown above are matched to this bed. The bunks take any of the 15cm ones, and the MemoryDream 15 is the one we'd put on both. The trundle is different: it needs a mattress shallow enough to slide under the bottom bunk, and the trundle mattress shown above is made for exactly that. Two children need two, three need three.

Room fit
The top bunk sits at 123cm, so with a 15cm mattress the sleeping surface is about 138cm from the floor. Allow about 70cm above the mattress for a younger child to sit up comfortably, and 80 to 90cm for a teenager, which means a ceiling of around 2.1m or more. The bed takes up 194cm by 107.5cm of floor, plus room in front for the trundle to pull out.
Questions parents ask
Can the trundle be used for storage instead of a third bed?
Yes. When it isn't needed as a bed, the trundle works as a deep drawer for duvets, toys and clothes.
Can a younger child use it?
The top bunk is for children aged 6 and over. A younger child can sleep on the bottom bunk.
Which mattresses do I need?
Two 15cm UK single mattresses for the bunks, plus the trundle mattress shown on this page if you're using the trundle as a bed. The MemoryDream 15 is the one we'd put on both bunks.
Can the bottom bunk take a deeper mattress?
Yes. The depth limit is there for the guard rails on the top bunk. The bottom bunk isn't raised, so a deeper mattress is fine if you'd like more comfort. A deeper mattress does take a little headroom from the space under the top bunk.
