Lovely bed with loads of storage! I put it together by myself, took 4.5 hours. It feels sturdy and the integrated book shelf and pull-out drawers are absolutely great for my guest box room. Drawers are on nice metal runners and are smooth to open and close. Note - the drawers are only half the width of the bed, with a dividing sheet of wood down the middle of the bed frame. I didn't put 5 starts because the bed slats are not as smooth as other brands, I instantly got a splinter and realised they should really be treated with wax / varnish or smoothed over.

I recently received my new bed and I’m over the moon with it. Always find it hard buying online but it was exactly as it said it was, the delivery was spot on and was put exactly where I wanted it in the house and took me about 2 hours to build it on my own. About the Hartley
The Hartley is a single storage bed that does the work of a chest of drawers and a bookcase. Three drawers run underneath for bedding, clothes and belongings, and the headboard has two built-in bookshelves for books, a lamp and night-time things, so there's no need for a bedside table.
It's made from rubberwood, in white or grey, with clean lines that suit a child's room, a teenager's room or a small guest room. The drawers can be fitted on either side of the bed, so it works with the room rather than against it.
Choose your delivery date in the basket: order by 12pm on a weekday and it can arrive the next working day. It comes flat-packed for self-assembly. If you'd rather someone else did it, there's a link to book a local assembler below the returns policy.
It takes a standard UK single mattress, 90cm by 190cm, up to 19cm deep. The mattresses shown above are made for it.

The Hartley is longer than most singles because of the bookcase headboard: it takes 224.5cm of wall and 107cm of floor out from the wall, plus room on the drawer side to open the drawers. At 121.5cm high at the headboard it suits any room.
